CIRITH UNGOL

Release Year: 2023
Artist Origin: USA
Style: striking epic dynamic heavy metal

sixth studio output by legendary entity takes a heavier, more majestic direction, refined down to the smallest detail, as the drive of traditional heavy metal gives way to weighty riffs, intricate guitar improvisations, and dark, oppressive atmosphere, while rich, polished sound allows every instrument to shine without sacrificing its rough old-school character; from the sudden, catchy burst of Velocity (S.E.P.) to the epic sweep of Sailor on The Seas of Fate tale, up to enigmatic closing track Down Below, this collection of eight songs moves seamlessly between memorable riffs, bombastic doom metal passages, and expressive guitar solos coloured by blues influences, while the biting vocals deepen its bleak mood, giving the recording a sense of ominous, unyielding power; German gatefold sleeve black-marbled gray vinyl edition with a pro-printed lyric insert and additional poster is limited to 500 units
