Artist Origin: USA
Style: intricate technical ferocious death metal

sonorously named as the beginning of a new era in extreme metal, ramping up trademark aggression, this mammoth of an album [2012] ultimately pushes the boundaries, where each track unfolds like a brutal exploration of dissonant technicality and organic chaos, merging rapid-fire drumming with intricate guitar structures that constantly shift from manic bursts to deliberate, grinding passages, while bass arrangements are more pronounced, thickening the dense, oppressive atmosphere, and Travis Ryan’s multifaceted vocal delivery adds emotional intensity in spades so that eleven cuts would feel way more elaborate, weaving heavier layers of complexity while maintaining its unrelenting, nihilistic core, blending ferocious riffs with surgical precision and an unsettling atmosphere, and the songwriting is more expansive, amplifying the apocalyptic tone; recent German gatefold sleeve black 180g vinyl edition comes with a bonus poster
