essential classic of intricate, technical, harmonious and catchy death metal, seminal considered album number four [1993] by genius Liverpool outfit for more than three decades keeps getting more and more power, and supremely shines forth due to exceptionally expressive composition, melodies that burn and penetrate with anger and rage, catchy addictive rhythm section, and unparalleled poignant vocal gnarl of Jeff Walker; on this game-changing recording they have massively stepped aside from savage brutality of the early era, yet with surgical precision started an amazing and less predictable new one, while front cover artwork by the great H.R. Giger acts as culminating extra, expanding philosophical angle of the whole concept even more; recent British re-issue comes with bonus promotional No Love Lost and Heartwork videos
