since the inception in 1992 Shamaatae seemingly lurks in shadows, yet time and again reminds us of his extraordinary talent, tearing apart souls of the lost for the eighth time with a distinctive, spellbinding strain of bleak, trollish black metal, sending forth a combination of fundamental riffs and howling vocals from the very edge of Ragnarök, while delving deeper into themes established on previous recording; it is devastatingly brutal force equal to the might of a battle axe, spreading fear from the North, where icy melodies, ominous atmospheric touches and spell-like motifs reinforce the wild, archaic mood, transporting the listener to primordial, harsh world as though it were a signal sent centuries ago, while placing renewed emphasis on primitive, direct and raw sound rooted in the dark forests
