ABSU
The Sun of Tiphareth CD
| Artist: | ABSU |
| Label: | Osmose |
Release Year: 1995
Artist Origin: USA
Style: enigmatic intense occult black metal
the second album from Texas luminaries was forged out with classic Proscriptor-Equitant-Shaftiel power trio line-up, turning out very productive and highly inspiring: they have moved quite a bit from obscure cavernous model of early years, getting closer to sharper and more biting occult black metal standard: high-octane energy, insane intensity, bombast qualities and classic era influenced thrash riffs, let alone the trademarked scratchy blackish rasp of Mr.Proscriptor, massively applying Sumerian and Celtic mythological references in his lyrics, sounded totally mind-blowing, building a whole new pattern within the genre - it is a rock solid, igniting record with innovative direction and focus, one of their best as a matter of fact
