less known yet highly evocative mini album by one of the fundamental Polish mysterious black metal hordes contains extended and in winter of 1998/1999 re-recorded versions of two songs, released previously on notorious Carpathian Wolves debut, both dedicated to the bloodthirsty Vlad Tepes, inspired by Blue Öyster Cult Nosferatu track as revealed recently, where music sounds in the vein of authentic early era of black metal Graveland, full of thick mesmerizing atmosphere and penetrating vampyric spirit, with Impaler of Wallachia opening the procession with a martial, grandiose tone, accentuated by crawling, repetitive riffs that evoke both dread and triumph, while In The Northern Carpathians captures an eerie, fog-laden ambiance, rich with freezing tremolo harmonies and haunting distant echoes; recent super jewel box re-issue by Lithuanian label is limited to 200 units only
