as title and cover artwork might suggest, it is not a new longplay this time, but a special re-recording of Varg's favorite tracks from his two earliest albums, Burzum and Det Som Engang Var, laid down the way he originally intended it to do [but done differently in the first run] - most naturally such turn of events and comments have caused a certain controversy within the scene, alienating the audiences, as this new approach with some polish put round the edges definitely differs from raw spontaneous authentic recordings, also reflected in vocal delivery, though you cannot take the great compositional ideas from the man, so in a way these cult, charismatic tracks sound no less inspiring even from a different production angle
