if some band of classic Bay Area thrash movement deserves a full-scale compilation of early material, then it is definitely Vio-Lence, whose demos were not properly spread in the eighties, and there are plenty of side recordings reflecting upon their rise and impact on the scene - you get it all in this solid double album package, counting twenty two tracks in total, and featuring very first live version of Gutterslut [1985], rehearsal demo [1986], first Demo [1986], "Mechanix" Demo [1988], live from Miami captured on 17th August 1988, and the obscure Torgue demo [1993], thoroughly restored and mastered by Patrick W. Engel at Temple of Disharmony studio, and the intensity of all material leaves no doubt this crew was totally killer way before their official releases, while extensive liner notes in the booklet are penned by Laurent Ramadier and Phil Demmel [guitars], enriched by heaps of rare vintage images
