quite a young entity was a bit short of experience in a solid studio and failed to achieve an awesome production first [now luckily improved in a major way], yet a burning passion and hunger for deadly extremity redeemed it - gritty eight-track debut longplay [1991] by fundamental Swedish death metal band, released after four highly praised demo tapes, hits with straightforward, chunky approach, gloomy, mold-reeking atmosphere and immense desire to reveal the enigma of otherworld, with a more progressive idea popping up here and there, what has become EOS trademark further on, yet even at this introductory stage they stood out quite clearly at the dawn of shaping characteristic deep sound, outlining distinct guidelines for the genre's future development; recent German black 180g vinyl edition comes with a pro-printed lyric insert and sound remastered by Dan Swanö
