when it seemed that the entire arsenal of obscure Mayhem recordings has already been published, British label throws up another ace on the table, a golden artifact of Norwegian black metal origins, featuring rare rehearsal from 1989, a tape-deck style recording accomplished in a spooky place they have been calling a hen house, featuring two run-throughs of their then setlist, and including talking between songs - the sound is definitely very rough and limited, and Dead's vocals are heard just here and there, but that was late eighties realities, and nevertheless it captures unbelievably intense, macabre atmosphere, revealing on top one unpublished track, and as bonus it also includes a DVD part of same rehearsal with 69 minutes of purely unique footage
