within the melodic death metal area Godgory have always been closer to atmospheric, progressive, hypnotic and doomy branch - their third full-length [1999] has much inspiration coming from Tiamat and Cemetary, laying vast dramatic perspectives in diverse but quite easy going songs, yet sharp production and grunting vocal style certainly push it down to extreme metal genre per se; sure thing they crank the speed and energy level here and there like on Crimson Snow, but their strongest comes with those emotional moments; recent Polish machine-numbered digipak re-issue on golden disc with Accept Princess of the Dawn cover and extra Conspiracy of Silence track as bonus is limited to 2000 units, copy #0432/2000
